Tom Crohan

VP & Counsel, Global Head Of Community Investment at Manulife

Tom Crohan has extensive experience in corporate responsibility, government relations, and community investment. Tom currently serves as the VP & Counsel, Global Head of Community Investment at Manulife since February 2021. Prior to this, they held various roles at John Hancock Financial Services, including Vice President & Counsel, Corporate Responsibility & Government Relations from September 2019. Tom also worked as the Assistant Vice President & Counsel, Corporate Responsibility & Government Relations from April 2012 to August 2019, and as the Senior Director, Corporate Responsibility from January 2010 to April 2012. Before joining John Hancock, Tom served as a Senior Policy Aide at the Office of Senator Edward M. Kennedy from August 2001 to January 2010. Tom also had a brief experience as a Summer Associate at Cooley Manion Jones LLP in June 2009.

Tom Crohan earned a Juris Doctor degree in Law from Suffolk University Law School, where they studied from 2006 to 2010. Tom pursued further education in 2016 when they completed the Young American Leaders Program (YALP) at Harvard Business School Executive Education, focusing on The U.S. Competitiveness Project. Prior to that, they attended the University of New Hampshire from 1997 to 2001, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Communication.
