Chau Vu

Chau Vu has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Chau started their career as a Sales Representative Intern at BSI International in 2006. From there, they had roles as a Technical Support at Joslin Diabetes Center, an Intern at Horizon Capital Realty, and an Account Data Analyst at ABC MT.

In 2009, Chau became a Business Analyst at Premier Research Group, where they worked until 2011. Chau then joined John Hancock Life Insurance Company (U.S.A.) as a Developer for System Design and stayed there until 2012.

Chau's next role was at Manulife Asset Management, where they worked as a Technical Lead and Product Owner for Client Reporting from 2012 to 2014. During this time, they led a team to support the client-reporting application and worked on projects to expand external fee-based groups/clients.

Since 2014, Chau has been with Manulife, initially as a Business Systems Lead and now as a Product Owner. In this role, they provide SAAS technology products to a user base of 5000+ financial advisors, focusing on user experience and delivering business value.

Chau Vu attended the University of Massachusetts Amherst from 2004 to 2008, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Management Information Systems. Prior to that, they attended the Boston Latin School from 1998 to 2004. In terms of additional certifications, Chau Vu obtained a Certified Product Manager 2018 (CPDM) from General Assembly in August 2018, as well as a Certified Scrum Master 2018 (CSM) from Scrum Alliance in the same month and year. Chau also obtained an Agile Product Owner certification from Manulife in July 2017, and an Agile Methodology certification from John Hancock in June 2017.
