Courtney Shantz

Courtney Shantz is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in strategic sourcing and talent acquisition. Currently serving as the Director of Strategic Sourcing for Global IT Tower at Manulife since August 2019, Courtney has developed and executed category strategies focusing on Information Technology, successfully managing stakeholder relationships and exceeding cost reduction targets. Previously, at Sun Life Financial, Courtney held roles as Strategic Sourcing Manager and Specialist, leading contract negotiations and sourcing strategies. Additional experience includes program management and recruitment at BlackBerry and previous roles in the City of Waterloo, IBM, and the University of Waterloo, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Business Administration with a focus on Human Resources Management from the University of Waterloo.
