Aaron Love has gained extensive experience in protein engineering, metabolic engineering, and biocatalysis throughout their career. Aaron has worked at Manus Bio in various roles, including as a Principal Scientist, Senior Scientist, and Research Scientist, focusing on improving microbial biocatalysts. Prior to Manus Bio, Aaron was a Research Assistant at Exicure, where Aaron developed gold nanoparticle-DNA/siRNA conjugates and demonstrated proof-of-concept bactericidal gene targeting. As an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Miami University, Aaron contributed to the discovery of an anti-fungal compound derived from Aloe. Aaron is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Biotechnology at Tufts University, building upon their Master's degree in Biotechnology from Northwestern University and their Bachelor's degree in Microbiology from Miami University.
