Luke Merrick's work experience starts with their role as the Head of Learning Production at MAPAL Group, which began in July 2023.

Prior to this, they established their own limited company, Wild Mind Learning, in March 2023, where they work as a Consultant. Luke also served as a Director for the eLearning Network from December 2019 to November 2021, arranging successful events for members and providing input to shape the organization's evolution.

From 2015 to 2019, Luke worked at Bolt Learning as the Head of Learning, where they built and managed a successful learning team, established learning design best practices, and supported sales and clients with solutions. Luke also played a role in establishing a learning culture across the company.

Prior to their roles in the learning industry, Luke worked at SACS High School from 2009 to 2014, first as the Head of the French Department and later as the Head of the Creative Arts Department.

Luke Merrick earned a Certificate of Achievement in Behaviour Change Interventions: Introductory Principles and Practice from UCL in 2022. Prior to that, they completed a Master of Arts in Education with a specialization in Language Education at the University of Cape Town from 2012 to 2013. Luke also holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from the University of Cape Town, which they obtained from 2006 to 2008. The specific field of study for their Bachelor's degree is not provided.
