Magdalena Henke

Magdalena Henke is a Full Stack Developer at Mapistry. Prior to their current position, they were a Senior Software Engineer at CBRE Build from January 2017 to July 2020. There, they were a Full Stack Web Developer and the office's internal Web Accessibility specialist. Amongst other projects, they worked on Spacer and Blocks.

Before CBRE Build, Henke was a Software Engineer at Floored from September 2016 to January 2017. Magdalena started at Floored as a Software Engineering Intern from June 2015 to August 2015.

Henke is a champion for effective remote inclusion, organizer of "Study Hour" (a weekly, voluntary hour to help me and others prioritize spending time learning new engineering related skills), and has managed the office's blog contributions. Magdalena values direct feedback and is deeply enthusiastic about creating and fostering a work environment based on trust and collaboration.

Magdalena Henke has a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (B.S.E.) from Princeton University in the field of mechanical and aerospace engineering with certificates in computer science and robotics. Magdalena also has an Abitur from Viktoriaschule Aachen with a 4.0 GPA (top of their class). Magdalena Henke spent a year as an ASSIST scholar at Princeton Day School. Magdalena is certified by Deque Systems, Inc. in IAAP CPACC Certification Preparation, Serving Customers with Disabilities, Accessibility Program Management, Designing an Accessible User Experience, and Accessibility Fundamentals - Disabilities, Guidelines, and Laws. Magdalena Henke is also certified by the Junior Management School in IHK Zertifikat zum Junior Manager and by Udacity in Web Accessibility Course (by Google).
