Dan Kmieciak is an experienced sommelier currently employed at Maple & Ash since June 2016. Previously, Dan served as the General/Front of House Manager at The Vine - Martini & Wine Bar from December 2012 to June 2016, where responsibilities included creating and maintaining an extensive cocktail menu and attending wine and beer events for continued education. Prior to that role, Dan worked as a bartender at both The Vine and Sports Corner, where engagement with customers and beverage preparation were key tasks. Early career experiences included various positions at The Vine of Grayslake and serving as the Site Director for Grayslake Youth Center NFP, Inc., where Dan was instrumental in establishing a youth center. Dan holds a degree from Western Illinois University, completed in 2013, and graduated from Grayslake Community High School in 2006.
