Ira Karaban is a Scientific Researcher at ARQ Nationaal Psychotrauma Centrum since February 2023, currently involved in the NADIYA study, which examines risk and supportive factors affecting Ukrainian refugees in the Netherlands. Ira also serves as an Independent Rater for the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies, conducting psychological assessments for an international RCT on MDMA-assisted psychotherapy for PTSD. Previous experience includes roles as a Research Assistant at Amsterdam UMC, Tutor at the University of Amsterdam, Lecturer at Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, and Data Analyst at PsychoSystems Data Analysis Center. Ira holds a Master's degree in Psychology from the University of Amsterdam and is a certified Mindfulness Teacher. Additionally, a solid academic foundation is demonstrated with a Bachelor's degree in Clinical Psychology, achieved Cum Laude.
