Lawrence Morrissey

Lawrence Morrissey serves as the Vice President of Government Affairs at Marathon Health since May 2017. Prior to this role, Lawrence held various positions at Marathon Health, including Vice President of Government Relations and Vice President of Sales. Lawrence was the Mayor of the City of Rockford from May 2005 to May 2017, overseeing a city with approximately 150,000 residents. Additionally, Lawrence served in multiple capacities, including appointing mayor for the Rockford Housing Authority and the Chicago-Rockford Airport Authority, and was a board member of the Rockford Area Economic Development Council and the Illinois Municipal League during the same period. Lawrence was the Chairman of Citizens for Morrissey from 2001 to 2016 and a board member at Community Collaboration Inc. from 2007 to 2012. Prior to entering public service, Lawrence practiced law at Morrissey Law Offices from May 1997 to April 2005, specializing in civil litigation. Lawrence holds a JD from the University of Illinois College of Law and a Bachelor's degree in Program of Liberal Studies from the University of Notre Dame.
