Sarah Hewitt has a diverse work experience in the field of Occupational Health. Sarah has held several roles throughout their career, starting in 2004 at Witham Health Services as a Nurse Practitioner in Occupational Health. Sarah later worked at Assured Healthcare and IU Health Occupational Services, where they continued to provide Occupational Health services.
In 2013, Sarah joined RepuCare as the Vice President of Health Centers and later transitioned to the role of Director of Health and Wellness. During their time at RepuCare, they played a key role in the transition to an EMR system.
Sarah then joined St. Vincent Medical Group, where they served as a Family Nurse Practitioner in Occupational Health and Immediate Care. Sarah developed policies and procedures for the Occupational Health department and was also appointed as the Regional Advanced Practitioner Lead.
At Pike Medical Consultants, Sarah served as the Director of Clinical Operations at UrgentCare Indy. Sarah split their time between clinical work as a Nurse Practitioner and administrative duties in the Occupational Health field.
Sarah joined St. Vincent Health as the Operations Lead for Employer Services and later became a Nurse Practitioner Supervisor for the Office of Associate Health. In these roles, they focused on improving inter-departmental relationships and redefining policies and protocols to better support St. Vincent associates.
Moving to OurHealth, Sarah was appointed as the Occupational Health Program Manager, responsible for training clinic staff, designing growth strategies, and developing solutions for the occupational needs of clients. Sarah also led the respiratory protection program and played a role in the COVID-19 response.
Sarah is currently working as the National Director of Occupational Health at Marathon Health, where they oversee the Employee Health needs of over 1900 employees and supports the operations of over 130 health centers across the nation. Sarah has been responsible for spearheading the COVID response program, adapting protocols to meet best-practice guidelines and regulatory requirements.
Sarah Hewitt has a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree from Indiana State University, which they obtained from 2020 to 2022. Sarah also holds a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree from the University of Indianapolis, with a specialization in the Family Nurse Practitioner Track, earned from 2000 to 2003. Prior to their MSN, Sarah obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from the University of Indianapolis, graduating in 2000. Sarah completed their high school education at Pike High School. Sarah has obtained several additional certifications throughout their career, including Certified Occupational Health Nurse Specialist (COHN-S) in 2011, Family Nurse Practitioner from the American Nurses Credentialing Center in 2003, and various certifications related to occupational health, HIPAA privacy, and DOT breath alcohol testing.
