Marcus Mercer

Marcus is a graduate of Texas State University where he received a B.S. in Recreation Administration (with an emphasis on Therapeutic Recreation) and later an M.S. in Dementia and Aging Studies. Marcus is a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) and has interned at San Diego Adaptive Sports in addition to working with various individuals needing support with mental health. He is passionate about working with vulnerable populations and enthusiastic about providing enriching and productive experiences for the residents he serves.

Aside from working with elders and those with intellectual and developmental differences over the last 15 years, Marcus is also a lecturer at Texas State University and serves on several committees and councils throughout the state of Texas.
