Evan Boyle is a partner at Community Energy Sustainability Consultants Ireland (CESCI) since April 2023 and has been a postdoctoral researcher at MaREI since April 2017, focusing on public infrastructure development for Ireland's transition to a low-carbon society and investigating deliberative engagement processes for energy grid changes. Previously, Evan held roles as a doctoral researcher examining a multi-stakeholder approach in socio-technical transitions and as a research assistant on an EPA-funded project supporting community energy initiatives. In addition to research work, Evan has served as a radio host for Dublin Digital Radio since January 2019 and has experience as a tutor and lecturer at University College Cork, covering various sociology topics. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Sociology from University College Cork, as well as degrees in sociology and radio broadcasting.
