Christopher Bensch has a strong career in curatorial and administrative roles in various museums. Christopher started working at the Munson-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute in 1983 as the Curator of Decorative Arts. After six years, they moved to the Strong Museum in 1989, where they served as a Curator for 15 years. In 2004, they joined The Strong as the Vice President for Collections, a position they have held since then.
Christopher Bensch obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and English from Capital University, where they studied from 1974 to 1978. Christopher then pursued further education at the University of Delaware from 1979 to 1981, earning a Master of Arts degree in American Material Culture.
