Michael Porter

Michael Porter has extensive experience in library operations and electronic resources management, currently serving as the Branch Operations Administrator and E-Resources Manager at Maricopa County Library District since 2013. Transitioning to the Electronic Resources Manager position in 2015, Michael emphasizes institutional progress in e-resources. As a presenter and author with Libraryland since 2006, Michael has delivered over 100 presentations internationally and at significant library conferences. Michael's leadership experience includes serving on the Executive Board of the American Library Association and as President of Library Renewal, fostering grassroots initiatives for libraries. Additionally, Michael has held various roles at WebJunction and has background experience with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and Allen County Public Library. Michael holds a Master in Library Science degree from Indiana University Bloomington.
