Alejandra Valladares

Alejandra Valladares is a medical technologies consultant at Proquarius since March 2023 and a Marie Curie alumna associated with the Marie Curie Alumni Association since June 2020. Valladares completed a PhD in Medical Physics at the Medical University of Vienna from March 2018 to December 2022, where research focused on developing imaging objects and methods for quality control of multi-parametric imaging, particularly in PET/MR systems. Prior roles include Nuclear Medicine Physicist at FUESMEN, where support was provided for nuclear medicine operations and education in radiation concepts, as well as a trainee in nuclear medicine where assistance was given for the commissioning of a SPECT/CT system. Early experience includes working as a laboratory assistant at the University of Cauca, maintaining departmental websites and editing scientific documents. Valladares holds a Master of Science in Medical Physics from Instituto Balseiro and is pursuing a Bachelor of Applied Science in Physics Engineering at Universidad del Cauca.
