Maciej Gasior, MD, PhD, has a diverse work experience in the pharmaceutical and medical field. Maciej started their career as an Instructor in General and Clinical Pharmacology at the School of Medicine in 1994. Maciej then became an International Fogarty Fellow at The National Institute on Drug Abuse from 1995 to 2000. Following that, they worked as an Instructor in Psychiatry at McLean Hospital from 2000 to 2003. Maciej then became a Staff Scientist at the National Institutes of Health from 2003 to 2006.
In 2006, Gasior joined Cephalon, Inc. as the Head of Behavioral Pharmacology Lab and later became an Associate Medical Director of Clinical Research. From 2011 to 2013, they served as the Medical Director of Translational Medicine at Bristol-Myers Squibb.
In 2014, Gasior joined Teva Pharmaceuticals as the Director of Clinical Project Physician, specializing in CNS and Pain. Maciej was promoted to Senior Director of Global Clinical Development Lead in 2016. Since 2018, they have been working at Marinus Pharma, first as an Executive Director of Clinical Development and currently as the Vice President of Clinical Development.
In addition to their industry experience, Gasior has also been an Adjunct Professor at Drexel University College of Medicine since 2010. Overall, their work experience showcases their expertise in clinical development, translational medicine, and behavioral pharmacology.
Maciej Gasior, MD, PhD completed their education in a chronological order. Maciej obtained their M.D. degree from the School of Medicine in Lublin, Poland, between 1985 and 1992. Following this, they pursued their Ph.D. in pharmacology at the same institution from 1992 to 1994. Subsequently, they conducted post-doctoral research in neuropharmacology of drugs of abuse at NIDA-NIH, Baltimore, MD, USA, from 1995 to 2000. Finally, they pursued further post-doctoral and faculty work, specializing in behavioral pharmacology, at Harvard Medical School from 2000 to 2003.
