Alex Mayes, MS-HRM

Alex Mayes has a diverse work experience in HR and talent acquisition. They started their HR career as a Talent Acquisition Specialist at Tech Data in 2016, where they actively recruited for various skill levels and managed internship programs. They also served as an Employment Coordinator, mentoring new team hires and supporting employee relations. After this, Alex worked as a Talent Acquisition Partner, focusing on pre-screening resumes, conducting phone interviews, and sourcing candidates through different platforms.

In 2020, Alex joined Coca-Cola Beverages Florida as a Talent Acquisition Specialist contracted through Randstad. They reviewed and screened candidates, facilitated candidate sourcing, and provided recommendations on pay and hiring.

Currently, Alex works at Marketopia as a Human Resources Supervisor. Their responsibilities include supervising HR functions and implementing a new ATS for faster hiring. They also pre-screen candidate resumes, conduct phone interviews, and facilitate candidate sourcing using various platforms.

Outside of their HR career, Alex worked as a freelance violinist and private violin tutor from 2014 to 2019.

Alex Mayes, MS-HRM, holds a Master of Science degree in Human Resource Management from Indiana Wesleyan University. Prior to this, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music from Converse University in 2016.
