Production Manager at MarqMetrix

Patrick Whitham has worked in various roles since 2004. Patrick began their career as an Internal Transporter at St. Luke's Regional Medical Center in 2004. In 2007, they moved to Idaho State University as a Research and Teaching Assistant, where they studied plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition (PECVD) of germanium chalcogenide thin films and was a teaching assistant for General Chemistry and Analytical Chemistry. In 2010, they joined the University of Washington, Department of Chemistry as a Postdoctoral Researcher and Graduate Research Assistant, where they studied the electronic excited state properties of semiconductor nanocrystals using luminescence lifetime measurements, photoluminescence, and single particle emission dynamics. Patrick also synthesized inorganic nanocrystals of transition metal doped/undoped cadmium and zinc chalcogenides, and mentored summer undergraduate students enrolled in the NSF Research Experience for Undergraduates program. In 2017, they became a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Applied Physics Laboratory - University of Washington. Most recently, in 2018, they joined MarqMetrix Inc. as a Production Manager and Optical Systems Specialist, where they supervised and built Raman spectrometers and Raman probes, and performed design testing, data analysis, and process improvement.

Patrick Whitham obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Chemistry from Idaho State University between 2004 and 2008. Patrick then obtained their Master of Science (M.S.) in Chemistry from Idaho State University in 2009 and 2010. Finally, they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Physical Inorganic Chemistry from the University of Washington between 2010 and 2016.
