Mark Cowles

Mark Cowles currently serves as the Coordinator for Art, Music, Physical Education, Social Studies, and World Languages at Martin County Schools since July 2022. Prior to this role, Mark held various positions including Assistant Principal and Athletic Director at Martin County High School from March 2012 to June 2022, and Dean of Students at Port St. Lucie High School from August 2009 to 2012, where responsibilities included overseeing discipline and organizing student events. Mark began their career in education at St. Lucie Public Schools from February 1995 to June 2009 as a teacher and athletic coach, instructing subjects such as World Cultural Geography and Psychology, while also coaching various sports. Mark earned a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from Barry University and a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and Social Studies from the State University of New York Cortland.
