Thomas Kretschmer

Thomas Kretschmer is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in the automotive sector. Currently serving as the Director of Engineering for Europe and Asia at Martinrea International since October 2022, Thomas previously held the position of Engineering Director for Europe at Martinrea Honsel Germany GmbH from September 2016 to October 2022. Earlier roles include R&D Center Manager and Chassis Core Team Director at Gestamp, as well as various leadership positions at BENTELER Automotive, where responsibilities ranged from technical management to overseeing development teams in North America. Thomas began the career in chassis engineering at BENTELER Automotive in 1998 after completing a diploma in Mechanical Engineering at Paderborn University and an apprenticeship in metal finishing.
