Mark Letscher is the CFO and Chief Compliance Officer at Martis Capital. Mark has over 12 years of experience in the financial industry, with a focus on accounting and financial reporting for real estate funds and private equity funds. Letscher began their career as a Fund Accounting Manager at The Carlyle Group, where they managed a team of three and was responsible for quarterly and annual financial reporting for five real estate funds and four co-investment vehicles. Mark also oversaw the year-end financial statement audit for the real estate funds and co-investment vehicles, and reviewed and approved all legal entity tax returns and K-1s for fund investors prepared by tax preparers.

In October 2013, Letscher joined EJF Capital, LLC as Managing Director. In this role, they managed a team of 12 and was responsible for all company accounting, tax, regulatory reporting and fund management functions relating to corporate activities, along with the hedge funds, private equity funds and managed accounts. Mark also advised investment professionals on deal structuring, fund structuring and equity formation, and served as lead contact for investor accounting and fund operational due diligence inquiries. In addition, Letscher led the implementation of a cloud-based enterprise resource planning platform for the firm’s accounting and business processing functions, including the conversion of the historical books and records.

Letscher holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from George Mason University.

Mark Letscher attended Birmingham Groves High School and then went on to Albion College where they obtained their Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Management.
