Brendan Thies

Brendan Thies has worked as a Senior Medical Device Engineer at Maruho Medical since January 2020, where they have utilized SolidWorks for developing and revising 3D models and engineering drawings. Brendan is also responsible for maintaining the SolidWorks product data management system and leading product development activities.

Prior to that, Brendan worked at Valeris Medical from 2016 to 2020. During their time there, they served as a Product Development Engineer and was responsible for using SolidWorks to develop and revise engineering drawings. Brendan also collaborated with outside vendors for additional manufacturing needs, optimized medical implants/instruments, and developed testing methods and quality documentation for upcoming products. Brendan also worked as a Quality Control Intern at Valeris Medical from October 2016 to May 2017.

From 2014 to 2017, Brendan worked as a Resident Assistant at Kennesaw State University. In 2015, they interned as a Research and Development Intern at Thies Technology Inc. And in 2012, they worked as a Quality Assurance CO-OP at Nisshinbo Automotive MFG Inc.

Brendan Thies completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Kennesaw State University in the years 2012 to 2016. Later, they pursued further education and earned a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Systems Engineering from Kennesaw State University between 2017 and 2019.
