Adriana Almanza

Adriana Almanza has a diverse work experience. Adriana most recently held the position of Director, DEI+B & Strategic Initiatives at Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital, starting in June 2023. Prior to that, they worked as the Diversity Recruitment, Retention, & Talent Development Manager at Grand Rapids Public Schools from May 2021 to May 2023. Adriana also served as the Associate Director of the Division of Inclusion & Equity at Grand Valley State University from July 2017 to May 2021, and as a Diversity Recruiter at the same institution from January 2012 to July 2017. Before that, they worked as an ESL Instructor at Sparta Community Education from August 2009 to November 2011.

Adriana Almanza has a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations/Latin American Studies from Grand Valley State University. Adriana also holds a Master's Degree in Adult and Higher Education from the same university. Furthermore, Adriana is a New Leadership Academy Fellow from the University of Michigan. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained certifications in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in Healthcare and Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion in the Workplace.
