Matthew Allen

Matthew Allen is an experienced fashion designer specializing in womenswear, currently holding the position of Head of Design at Mary Katrantzou since August 2017. In this role, Matthew collaborates with the Creative Director on the research, sketching, and development of mainline collections, pre-collections, and bespoke projects. Previously, Matthew served as an Assistant Designer at both Mary Katrantzou and Markus Lupfer, where responsibilities included collection research and fabric design. Additional experience includes roles as a Design Assistant and Styling Assistant, contributing to various creative projects, and internships that provided foundational skills in design techniques and textile manipulation. Matthew holds a First Class Honours degree in Fashion Design from The Glasgow School of Art.
