Laura Kendal

Primary Therapist at Maryland Addiction Recovery Center

Laura Kendal is a Primary Therapist at Maryland Addiction Recovery Center. Laura received her Bachelor of Arts in Cultural Anthropology & Sociology from UMBC. She then spent five years living abroad in Israel teaching English where she developed a passion for helping others and working in a collaborative setting. After returning to Baltimore from abroad, Laura began pursuing her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from McDaniel College as well as a specialized degree in drug and alcohol counseling from CCBC. Laura is committed to helping remove the stigma around mental health and addiction and helping those who struggle to find recovery. Laura originally joined MARC as a Therapist Assistant. From that position, she transitioned to the position of Vocational Counselor and eventually moved into her current role of Primary Therapist. Laura uses an eclectic approach in her therapy in order to address each individual client’s needs. Outside of work Laura enjoys traveling and spending time with her family and two dogs.
