Rosette Gonzalez is a Medical Physicist Extender/Assistant at Maryland Proton Treatment Center since September 2022, specializing in patient-specific plan verification and quality assurance in proton therapy. Previously, Rosette served as a Graduate Research Student at the University of Florida, where research focused on face recognition using Mixed Reality for Medical Physicists. Teaching experience includes an instructor role at the University of Puerto Rico-Humacao and various research and teaching assistantships at The University of Texas at El Paso. Early academic work involved nanolithography research and advanced imaging techniques at the University of Puerto Rico and a summer research program in materials science at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. Rosette holds a Master of Science in Medical Physics from the University of Florida College of Medicine and a Master's Degree in Physics from The University of Texas at El Paso, complemented by a Bachelor's Degree in Natural Sciences with a focus on Applied Physics to Electronics.
