Sarah McAvoy

Assistant Professor at Maryland Proton Treatment Center

Sarah McAvoy is an accomplished radiation oncologist and academic, currently serving as an Associate Professor at the University of Maryland School of Medicine since November 2018, alongside roles as an Assistant Professor at the University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center and the Maryland Proton Treatment Center. Prior to these positions, Sarah held the role of Radiation Oncologist at the Greater Regional Cancer Center and Mercy Medical Center - Des Moines from September 2015 to October 2018. Training included a residency in Radiation Oncology at MD Anderson Cancer Center from July 2011 to July 2015, and earlier experience as an intern at Hennepin County Medical Center. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Chemistry from Carroll College.
