Emel Bihorac

Emel Bihorac, MA, is a mental health therapist with extensive experience in providing individual, couples, and group counseling across various settings. Currently employed at Ringling College of Art and Design, Emel manages a caseload of over 50 clients, utilizing cognitive-behavioral, acceptance and commitment, and dialectical-behavioral therapies while ensuring confidentiality and culturally responsible care. Previous roles include serving as a mental health therapist at Mary's Center and the University of Central Florida, where Emel conducted counseling for diverse populations, facilitated crisis interventions, and supported integrated care initiatives. Emel holds a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Central Florida and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Florida.
