Melanie Goshgarian possesses over 25 years of experience in emergency communications, including roles as a police officer, drug and alcohol enforcement officer, and 911 dispatcher. Currently serving in the Department of Medicine at Mass General Brigham since December 2021 and as a Social Media/Program Manager at People Helping People, Inc. since September 2018, Goshgarian also works as a Patient Safety Advocate focusing on Essure and medical devices since 2012. Previous experience includes a position as a 911 Emergency Telecommunications Dispatcher for the City of Waltham, MA, from July 1998 to May 2020, and special police officer roles in the Town of Burlington from 1996 to 2002. Goshgarian holds a Certificate in Paralegal Studies from Middlesex Community College and an Associate's of Criminal Justice, along with additional health care administration certifications from HarvardX.
