Jess Chen currently serves as a Graduate Curatorial Fellow at MASS MoCA since September 2022, following a role as a Congress-Bundestag Arts Fellow from August 2021 to June 2022. Previous experience includes positions such as Events and Production Assistant at The Brooklyn Rail, Curatorial Intern at The Museum of Modern Art, and Peggy Guggenheim Collection Intern at the Guggenheim Museum. Jess also contributed as Curatorial Intern and Co-Curator of Courtside at the Nasher Museum of Art and held the position of Bass Connections Research Fellow at Duke University. Additional internships include curatorial work at the Ackland Museum of Art and digital archive assistance at the David M. Rubenstein Rare Book and Manuscript Library. Jess Chen is pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in History of Art and Architecture at Harvard University, after obtaining a Master of Arts in History of Art from Williams College and a Bachelor's Degree in Art History and Public Policy from Duke University.
