Zachary Elder

Zachary Elder currently serves as the Director of Massanutten Regional Library since October 2022. Prior to this role, Zachary was the Assistant Director at Chesapeake Public Library from November 2020 to September 2022 and held the position of Manager at Central Library for the City of Chesapeake from September 2018 to November 2020. Zachary also managed the Pearl Bailey Library at Newport News Public Library between April 2017 and September 2018. Earlier experience includes serving as a Research and User Services Librarian at George Washington University from April 2009 to April 2017, and a Library Assistant at Duke University from September 2005 to April 2009. In addition to library roles, Zachary contributed as President of The Ohio State University Alumni Club of Washington DC from January 2012 to June 2013, leading community engagement and fundraising efforts. Educational qualifications include a Master's of Library and Information Science from North Carolina Central University and a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from The Ohio State University.
