Matthew Kupfer

Matthew Kupfer has a diverse work experience in the field of human resources. Matthew has worked with various companies and organizations, assuming different roles and responsibilities. From 2012 to 2015, they served as a Business Affairs Coordinator at the University of Massachusetts, where they managed recruitment processes and assisted in managing student-facing offices. In 2015, they joined the Ingenico Group as a Human Resources Generalist, where they gained proficiency in benefits, payroll, and employee relations. Matthew then worked as a Human Resources Consultant from 2016 to 2021, providing HR solutions to a range of clients. In 2017, they became the Human Resources Manager at Harmon Law Offices and two subsidiaries, overseeing HR operations and leading the administrative operations team. From 2021 to 2023, they served as the Director and Senior Human Resources Business Partner at VISTRA, responsible for HR operations in the Americas and successfully implementing talent development and leadership initiatives. In 2022, they also took on the role of Adjunct Faculty at North Shore Community College, teaching an introductory HR course. Most recently, in 2023, they joined MassChallenge as the Senior Director of People Strategy.

Matthew Kupfer holds a Master of Science degree in Human Resource Management and Management and Leadership from Western Governors University. Matthew also obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. In addition, they have obtained certifications in Leading Through Coaching, Strategic Human Resources Leadership, Strategic HR Business Partner, and is a Professional in Human Resources.
