Stephen Konya

Stephen Konya is the current advisor at MassChallenge. Prior to that, they were a principal at Knowledge Advantage from June 2015 to September 2015. Before that, they were a senior consultant at Stewards of Change from February 2015 to September 2015. Stephen Konya began their career at the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) in September 2011 as the Chief of Staff / Chief Operating Officer, where they oversaw an annual budget of $500 million, 1,100+ employees, and approximately 300 programs. The mission of the IDPH is to promote the health of the people of Illinois through the prevention and control of disease and injury. Stephen Konya has been instrumental in achieving this mission through their various leadership roles within the department.

Stephen Konya is a mentor at the Mid-America Regional Public Health Leadership Institute (MARPHLI) at the University of Illinois Chicago School of Public Health. Stephen is also a fellow of MARPHLI and a finance and international business student at Loyola University Chicago.
