Tania Hartford

EVP, Real Estate at MassDevelopment

Tania Hartford became the EVP of Real Estate in April 2022 where she oversees the agency’s real estate and planning efforts including the redevelopment of Devens and management of the state piers. She rejoined MassDevelopment in January 2021 as the chief operating officer and chief of staff having previously worked at MassDevelopment between 2007-2016 as both vice president of community development in the northeast and later as director of real estate services. Prior to coming back to MassDevelopment, Tania worked as a development manager for RCG LLC, a real estate development and investment firm where she focused on strategic planning and development of current assets and new acquisitions. Tania has a depth of experience in the public sector serving at the local and state levels in policy, planning, and economic development. She holds a MA in Urban and Environmental Policy and Planning from Tufts University and a BA in International Relations/Environmental Policy from Michigan State University. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP), Urban Land Institute (ULI) Boston Advisory Board, Essex County Habitat for Humanity Board, and Girl Scouts of Eastern MA Volunteer/Troop Leader.
