Eric Gedstad has extensive work experience spanning over several organizations and roles. Eric started their career at the Massachusetts House of Representatives as a Press Secretary, where they interacted with the State House press corps and promoted the legislative agenda. Eric then moved on to the Massachusetts Governor's Office as a Speechwriter, writing speeches for Governor William F. Weld and Lt. Governor Paul Cellucci.

After that, Gedstad joined the Massachusetts Housing Finance Agency as a Senior Government Relations Analyst, where they researched and analyzed housing programs and legislation. Eric then transitioned to the Massachusetts Office of Travel & Tourism as a Communications Director, coordinating public relations activities and managing agency contracts.

Gedstad then joined the Massachusetts Department of Housing and Community Development as a Communications Director, serving as a spokesperson and drafting press releases. In their most recent role, they worked at MassHousing as the Communications Director and later as the Director of Marketing. Prior to that, Gedstad attended Simsbury High School from 1981 to 1985. At Simsbury High School, they did not receive a degree or declare a specific field of study.
