Sandile Lukhele

andile joined Massmart October 2020, as SVP, General Counsel and Group Company Secretary. In addition to this role, he serves as a member of Massmart’s Executive Committee. Sandile has more than 22 years of legal experience in corporate and commercial law, banking and finance, advisory in mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt restructuring transactions, lending and structured transactions, B-BBEE and equity equivalent transactions.

Prior to joining the company, Sandile served as a partner and Head of Legal with PwC South Africa, and he has worked with a number of law firms both global and locally focused.

Admitted as an attorney of the High Court South Africa, Sandile received his LL.B from the University of Witwatersrand, and B. Juris from University of the Western Cape.
