Christopher Baucom

Christopher Baucom, MBA has extensive work experience in the field of safety and health. Christopher currently holds the position of Director of Safety & Health at MasTec since July 2023. Prior to that, they worked as Director of Safety & Health at American Electric Power from 2014 to March 2023, and as Manager of Health & Safety at the same company from July 2014 to December 2020.

Before joining American Electric Power, Christopher served as a Senior EH&S Coordinator at Enable Midstream Partners from December 2013 to July 2014. Christopher also worked as a Senior Safety Coordinator at OGE Energy Corp from September 2009 to November 2013, where they played a crucial role in incident investigations, training, coaching, and developing safety procedures.

Earlier in their career, Christopher was the Health and Safety Manager at CB&I from January 2005 to March 2009. In this role, they managed a team of safety professionals and successfully maintained an Incident and Injury Free (IIF) workplace in a facility setting with 400 employees. Christopher also led and facilitated incident investigations and root cause analysis.
