Rodwell Mangisi

Rodwell Mangisi is a seasoned professional currently serving as the Director of Digital Economy Pan African Programs at Mastercard Foundation since July 2023. Previously, Rodwell held the position of Interim Director at the Center for Innovative Teaching and Learning. As a course facilitator for the MIT program on Artificial Intelligence Implications for Business Strategy at GetSmarter, Rodwell focuses on machine learning, natural language processing, robotics, and ethical considerations surrounding AI. Rodwell's extensive experience includes serving as Director of Strategic Projects and Digital Transformation at GE Healthcare, leading large-scale healthcare projects across multiple Southern African countries, as well as managing indirect channel business growth. Additional roles include External Examiner at the University of the Witwatersrand, Digital Solutions Engineer at GE, and Manager of Advanced Data Analytics at Deloitte South Africa. Rodwell holds an MBA in Finance, Venture Capital, and Entrepreneurship from the University of Birmingham, an MSc in Electrical Engineering from the University of the Witwatersrand, and a BSc in Electrical and Information Engineering.
