Krishna Jha

Krishna Jha is an experienced professional with a background in machine learning and software engineering. Krishna currently works as a Principal Machine Learning Engineer at MasterControl. Prior to this role, they were employed at FactSet as a Manager and Senior Machine Learning Engineer, where they led teams in designing, building, and deploying ML/AI-based services for financial documents and research reports. Krishna also played a key role in improving product quality, coverage, consistency, and timeliness.

Before FactSet, Krishna worked at comScore, Inc. as the Director of Software Engineering, where they led a team in designing and growing a web-analytics application for monitoring web-advertisements. Krishna made significant engineering improvements to the system, resulting in increased timeliness and scalability, as well as substantial growth in revenue and international coverage.

Krishna also has experience with Bhasha, Inc., where they served as the Director/Consultant. Here, they managed, designed, and built various advanced systems, including a ML-based database-schema-aligner and a multiclass classifier for knowledge-base articles. Additionally, they worked on projects such as the Netflix movie-recommendation challenge.

Earlier in their career, Krishna worked at Lockheed Martin as a Senior Member of Engineering Staff, managing a team in developing a cognitive architecture for DARPA. Krishna successfully combined different computing paradigms to efficiently solve complex problems and delivered the best-performing design. Krishna also worked at Boeing Corp. as an Associate Technical Fellow, where they designed and developed advanced systems, including defect-extraction and natural language interface projects, that contributed to improving aircraft manufacturing operations.

Krishna Jha holds a B.Tech. degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, completed from 1977 to 1982. Additionally, they pursued an MS degree in Computer & Information Science at the University of Pennsylvania from 1985 to 1987. Furthermore, Krishna has obtained certifications in AI - Deep Learning Specialization from Coursera in February 2021, and in Deep Learning Specialization from Coursera in May 2018.
