Becca Blond

Becca Blond has been working in the travel industry since 2005. Becca began their career as the CEO of PlanetBlond, a travel consulting and writing business. In 2011, they became a Travel Writing Instructor/Faculty at Gotham Writers' Workshop. From 2012 to 2014, they were a Freelance Correspondent for the Los Angeles Times and USA TODAY, respectively. In 2014, they became a Contributing Writer & Local Expert for Afar Media. In 2016, they began working as a Content Creator for Matador Network. In 2019, they became a Freelance Travel Writer for trivago, and in 2020 they began working as a Freelance Writer for Culture Trip.

Becca Blond completed their Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science with an emphasis on Latin America and Africa from Colorado College with a Major GPA of 3.7. Becca then attended Georgetown University for Journalism through The Fund for American Studies: Institute on Political Journalism. Lastly, they received an African Studies Minor from the University of Zimbabwe through independent field research on HIV spread and treatment at St Anne's Hospital in Harare, Zimbabwe.
