Lauren Burke Silva has held various roles throughout their career. Currently, they are the CEO & Co-Founder of matchplicity, a platform that matches job seekers and employers based on their needs and interests using artificial intelligence and natural language processing. Prior to this, they worked at the National Association of Black Accountants Inc., where they served as the Chief Development Officer and Vice President of Business Development. In these roles, they were responsible for fundraising over $15 million USD and played a key role in expanding the organization's infrastructure and diversifying its revenue streams. Lauren also launched new diversity and inclusion-centered programs to drive sponsorship growth for historically underrepresented populations. Before joining NABA, they worked as the Director of Business Development and Manager of Resource Development.

Lauren Burke Silva obtained their Bachelor's degree in Communications/Broadcast Journalism from the University of Pittsburgh, where they studied from 2005 to 2009. Following this, they pursued a Master's degree in Media and Public Affairs at The George Washington University, completing their studies between 2010 and 2012.
