Karen Guzman

Karen Guzman is an accomplished educator with extensive experience in teaching mathematics and computer science, currently serving as a Computer Science Teacher at the NYC Department of Education since September 2020, focusing on AP CSP and CS Discoveries. In addition, Guzman holds the position of Master Teacher Fellow at Math for America since September 2022, participating in a competitive STEM teaching fellowship aimed at enhancing professional development and equitable teaching strategies. With a robust background in mathematics instruction across various levels, Guzman has taught subjects like Algebra, Geometry, and Calculus, and has developed innovative, student-centered approaches to learning. Guzman also has experience as a Data Scientist at Metis, and holds multiple advanced certificates from Hunter College in various educational specialties, along with two bachelor's degrees from Fordham University in Psychology and Mathematics.
