Kelsey Siegel

Mfa Master Teacher Fellow at Math for America

Kelsey Siegel is an experienced educator with a strong background in mathematics and education. Currently serving as a MfA Master Teacher Fellow and MfA Early Career Fellow at Math for America since August 2016, Kelsey focuses on improving STEM education through community building and professional development. As a Mathematics Teacher at Manhattan Business Academy since 2013, Kelsey teaches Algebra I to 120 students daily and leads the LEGO Robotics after-school program. Kelsey also holds the position of Khan Academy Ambassador and has previously worked as a STEM Coach at the High School of Art and Design, where Kelsey facilitated a summer STEM program for over 400 students. Kelsey’s earlier roles include Dance Production Coordinator at Wesleyan University and Physics Teacher at Summerbridge Hong Kong. Kelsey earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and Dance from Wesleyan University and a Master of Science in Education with a focus on Teaching Adolescent Mathematics from St. John's University.
