Lei Chen

Lei Chen has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. They are currently serving as the Director of Quality Control at Matinas BioPharma since January 2020. Prior to this, Lei worked at Pii (Pharmaceutics International, Inc.) from July 2011 to November 2019. In this role, they held various positions including FDA Deficiency Analytical Support Lead, Senior Chemist, and Chemist.

Lei Chen received a Master's degree in Biology from Nanjing University from 1997 to 2003. From 2004 to 2005, they studied Structural Biology, Biochemistry, and Biophysics at the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry. They then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Structural Biology, Biochemistry, and Biophysics from Syracuse University from 2005 to 2011.
