Addison Zou

Head Advising Fellow (haf) at Matriculate

Addison Zou has a diverse work experience starting from 2020 when they worked as a Student Tutor at Kumon North America, Inc. In 2022, they joined Williams College as an Undergraduate Research Assistant in Polymer Chemistry, where they focused on the polymerization of Syringaldehyde or Vanillin with NIPAM for applications in hydrogels. They also worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant in Distributed Drug Delivery, where they utilized synthesis techniques to contrive dipeptides that inhibit the development of biofilm progeny. In the same year, they became a Head Advising Fellow at Matriculate, an educational equity non-profit organization, where they initiated the recruitment process for a cohort of Advising Fellows and organized seminars to help mentors support high school students through the college application process. Addison Zou's most recent work experience, starting in 2023, is as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Stony Brook University Graduate School, where they are involved in targeted investigations of polymer thin films for drug delivery and release applications.

Addison Zou completed their high school education at Germantown High School from 2017 to 2021, earning a High School Diploma. Starting in 2021 and expected to graduate in 2025, Addison is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry at Williams College.
