Akila Jayawardena

Akila Jayawardena is an accomplished photojournalist and photographer based in Colombo, Sri Lanka, with extensive experience spanning over a decade. Currently serving as a photographer for the Sunday Times since April 2021, Akila has a diverse portfolio that includes breaking news, sports, fashion, and human interest stories. In addition to work at the Sunday Times, Akila contributes as a photojournalist for Matrix Images, NurPhoto Agency, and Roar Global, covering significant news events and daily life.
