Éric Pollard has a diverse background in wildlife biology and resource management. Éric started their career as a Junior Wildlife Biologist at Parks Canada in 2017, where they gained experience in controlling invasive plant species and conducting surveys for invasive plants in alpine areas. In 2018, they worked as a Resource Management Technician II at Parks Canada, focusing on rangeland and riparian health assessments and controlling invasive plant species. Éric then transitioned to Bear Tracks Environmental Services in 2019, where they conducted various wildlife surveys and pre-disturbance assessments. In 2020, they joined Stantec as a Junior Wildlife Biologist, conducting wildlife and nest sweeps for ongoing developments in various industries. Currently, Éric is working at Matrix Solutions Inc. as a Junior Wildlife Biologist, conducting wildlife surveys and contributing to projects related to industry developments. From 2018 to 2020, Éric attended Lethbridge College and obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree with a concentration in Ecosystem Management, specifically in the field of Fish and Wildlife Management.

Prior to that, from 2016 to 2018, Éric also attended Lethbridge College and earned a College Diploma in Renewable Resource Management.

In 2013 to 2014, Éric briefly attended the University of Guelph, where they pursued General Arts with a focus on Art/Art Studies.

In addition to their educational background, Éric has also obtained several certifications. These include obtaining Standard First Aid, CPR, and AED certification from the Canadian Red Cross in May 2021, obtaining Biologist in Training certification from the Alberta Society of Professional Biologists in October 2020, and completing the Wetland 101: An Introduction to Boreal Wetlands course from Ducks Unlimited Canada, although the specific month and year of completion are not provided.
