Erica Dewell

Environmental Scientist at Matrix Solutions

Erica Dewell has a diverse range of work experience in the environmental field. Erica worked as an Environmental Scientist at Matrix Solutions Inc., where they conducted surface water monitoring and hydrology field programs, as well as data analysis and report writing. Prior to that, they were a Field Technician at Toronto and Region Conservation (TRCA), where they conducted in-stream environmental monitoring work and acted as a Crew Lead. Erica also worked as a Property Clerk/Researcher at TRCA, assisting in file review and environmental audit tasks.

In addition, Erica has experience as a Project Management Office Clerk and Project Management Office Intern at TRCA, where they provided support in project coordination and preparation of environmental assessments. Erica also has experience as an Environmental Policy Analyst [Co-op] at the Ontario Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change, where they assisted with policy analysis and research.

Furthermore, Erica worked as an Environmental and Policy Assistant [Co-op] at Indian and Northern Affairs Canada, where they assisted in the management of environmental programs and developed professional writing skills. Erica also gained project coordination experience as a Project Coordinator [Co-op] at Roni Excavating. Additionally, Erica worked as an Ontario Stewardship Ranger at the Ministry of Natural Resources, where they participated in environmental cleanup and maintenance projects.

Throughout their work experience, Erica has consistently demonstrated a commitment to environmental monitoring, research, and coordination, as well as a strong focus on health and safety.

Erica Dewell pursued their education with a Bachelor of Environmental Studies degree from the University of Waterloo. Erica studied planning with a co-op component from 2008 to 2012. After completing their undergraduate degree, Erica attended the University of Dundee from 2013 to 2014. During this time, they obtained a Master of Science degree in Catchment Hydrology and Management.
