Kyle Selley is an experienced arts professional with a strong background in ceramics and education. Currently serving as the Lead Ceramics Technician at Carter Arts Center since February 2020, Kyle also works as an Art Instructor at Mattie Rhodes Center and as a Weekend Supervisor for the Kansas City Art Institute Continuing Education Department, both roles beginning in December 2017 and August 2016, respectively. Academic credentials include a Bachelor’s Degree in Sculpture from Kansas City Art Institute (2015-2017), a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography and Ceramics from the University of Tasmania (2015-2016), and an Associate of Arts in Ceramics and Liberal Arts from Johnson County Community College (2011-2014).

Mattie Rhodes Center is a nonprofit community development organization dedicated to individual and family wellbeing through social services, behavioral health counseling & the arts. Mattie Rhodes Center is the only fully bilingual/bicultural state-certified behavioral health care provider in the Greater Kansas City region, and is state-certified in intensive outpatient substance abuse therapy. Our staff provides culturally competent programming in the following four areas: Family Services (behavioral health, family violence, substance abuse) Youth Services (in-school intervention, youth development, supportive living) Community Support (health and wellness, community engagement) Cultural Arts (arts education, exhibits and collections)
