Mike O'Donnell is the Chief Operating Officer and Managing Director of the Mattress Recycling Council, where significant contributions have been made to implement successful mattress recycling programs in states such as California, Connecticut, and Rhode Island. With extensive experience in environmental management, Mike has served as a National Board Member for NAHMMA, managing hazardous materials programs, and has held various program management roles in organizations such as EcoLights Northwest, Product Care Association, and PaintCare. Prior to these roles, Mike was the HHW Business Manager at PSC Environmental Services, overseeing operations in the Pacific Northwest. Mike holds a B.S. in Environmental Resource Management from Pennsylvania State University, focusing on solid waste management.

Mattress Recycling Council
The Mattress Recycling Council (MRC) is a non-profit organization formed by the mattress industry to operate the recycling programs known as Bye Bye Mattress, in states which have enacted a mattress recycling laws – California, Connecticut and Rhode Island. MRC educates the mattress industry about mattress recycling laws, assists retailers and manufacturers with their registration and reporting obligations, and works closely with local governments, waste management professionals, recyclers and others to create an accessible and efficient mattress collection and recycling network. As a result, every mattress contributes to a cleaner, more positive future.
